We're Moving from Monthly to Daily AI Limits (and Making Them More Generous)

We're making a change to how AI usage works in Nowa, and we think you're going to like it. In short: we're replacing monthly credit limits with daily limits, giving you significantly more total usage at the same price, and bringing credit top-ups to the Launch plan.
Here's the full story.
Why we're changing things
Under the old model, Launch came with 50 credits per month and Scale came with 200. That sounds fine on paper, but we kept seeing the same pattern: many of you build in intense bursts. You'd pour your energy into your app, burn through your monthly credits in a few days, and then... wait. Sometimes for weeks.
That waiting is the opposite of what we want. Momentum matters when you're building. Coming back to your app every day, even for a short session, is how ideas turn into real products. So we redesigned our limits around exactly that: showing up and building every day.
Starter (free): test Nowa every single day
The Starter plan exists so you can try Nowa risk-free and see what you can actually build before committing to anything. But with the old 5 credits per month, one enthusiastic day of experimenting could leave you locked out for weeks — not a great way to evaluate anything.
Now, Starter gives you a free daily AI limit instead. If you hit it, you have two options: upgrade, or simply come back tomorrow and pick up where you left off. Either way, you're never stuck waiting a month to keep exploring your idea.
Launch: 12x more usage at the same price
Launch now comes with a daily limit that's 5x the Starter plan (on top of everything else Launch includes, like deploying to Web, Android, and iOS).
Here's the part we're most excited about: if you use your Launch plan every day, that adds up to 12x more usage than the old 50-credits-per-month plan — at the same price. Yes, 12x. You can build every single day without ever worrying about running dry for weeks.
And there's one more upgrade: top-ups are now available on Launch. Previously, only Scale users could purchase extra credits. Now, if you hit your daily limit on Launch and you're in the zone, you can buy a top-up and keep going.
Two things worth knowing about how top-ups work:
Scale: 6x more usage at the same price
Scale gets the same treatment. Used daily, the new Scale plan gives you 6x more usage than the old 200-credits-per-month plan — again, at the same price. Your daily limit is 2x the Launch plan, and you keep everything that makes Scale, Scale: GitHub integration, premium support, and of course top-ups whenever you want to push past your daily limit.
One credit is now simply $1
While we were at it, we simplified our credit unit. Previously, 1 credit was worth $0.50. Now, 1 credit = $1, and each new credit does twice the work of an old one (under the hood, a credit maps to a number of AI tokens, and we doubled it).
To be clear: nothing got more expensive. We just redefined the unit so the math is easier for everyone.
A little gift for existing users 🎁
If you already have credits in your account, here's some good news: even though the new credit is worth double the old one, we're keeping your credit numbers exactly the same. If you had 20 credits, you still have 20 credits — they just do twice as much now. Your existing balance effectively doubled, for free.
